I am a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at Stanford University. Currently I am a research fellow at the Alexander-Hamilton-Center at New York University. The main areas of my research are comparative politics and political methodology.
I study the relationship between taxation and accountability. As part of that research, I am interested in the effects of natural resources on the quality of institutions and elections as tools of accountability. Much of my research is empirical in nature, often trying to leverage subnational variation, as in some ongoing projects about Brazil and Germany. More generally, I find the political economy of development a fascinating area of research. | Contact Me
